Lagos Deputy Gov Hosts Fatodu, Rufai, Advocates Sports Development
Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat played host to the legendary Super Eagles goalkeeper, Peter Rufai in his office in Alausa, Ikeja in the company of the man in charge of sports in the state, Lekan Fatodu, who is the Director General of Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC).
The hosting of the former Nigerian international aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s administration’s commitment to driving greater social and economic gains through a strategic partnership in the sports sector..
The Deputy Governor thanked Rufai for his worthy endeavours. He assured him of the readiness of Lagos State Sports Commission, under the able leadership of Fatodu, to work effectively with proven hands and professionals like Rufai in justifying Governor Sanwo-Olu’s robust investment in sports and in fostering the development of more talents within the state.
Rufai who expressed gratitude towards Lagos State for being a cornerstone in his sports career, shared several commendable sports initiatives he has spearheaded in the state while reiterating his steadfast dedication to unveiling even more impactful programs aimed at nurturing talent and fostering growth within the sporting community.
