Enyimba technical adviser, Finidi George says he expected his team to score more goals in their 1-0 win over Heartland on Tuesday.
Ekene Awazie’s lone strike gave the Peoples Elephant maximum points in the game.
Finidi revealed that he was a little bit worried with the narrow victory in the game.
He however commended the players for presenting him the victory as a befitting gift for his birthday.
The former Super Eagles midfielder clocked 53 on Monday, April 15.
“It’s feels good to win games, we knew the game against Heartland it was going to be a tough one because of their position on the table,” he told the club’s media.
“Looking at the game we had all the chances to have scored more goals which didn’t happen at a point I was a little bit scared of the visitors equalising in the game.
“But am quite happy I told the boys they should win the game for my birthday and they did as requested.”
Enyimba moved up to second position in the table with 51 points from 30 games following the win.
