Guardiola confirms Man City injury blow ahead Real Madrid clash
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has said he substituted Josko Gvardiol at half time of their 4-2 win at Crystal Palace, because the player picked up a knock.
Gvardiol started the game at Selhurst Park, but was replaced by Manuel Akanji at the break.
The Croatian defender is now an injury doubt for their Champions League trip to Real Madrid next Tuesday.
“We will see which players we have available because Josko [Gvardiol] had a little problem. We will see. Next one.
“We were unlucky to play early on after Aston Villa but now lucky we have time to recover before Real Madrid. We will try to give them a good game,” Guardiola said afterwards.
