Osayi-Samuel escapes punishment for fans’ assault

Trabzonspor Defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel will face no punishment following his altercation with Trabzonspor fans last month.

Osayi-Samuel was involved in a brawl with Trabzonspor fans who invaded the pitch after their Turkish Super Lig clash which Fenerbahce won 3-2.

The Nigeria international and two of his teammates were charged with misconduct by the Turkish Football Federation following the incident.

According to Turkish website, A Spor, the 26-year-old has now been cleared of any wrongdoing in the incident.

Trabzonspor will play six matches behind closed doors as part of the punishment for the unruly behaviour of their fans.

Osayi-Samuel was widely acclaimed by Fenerbahce fans for his action.
