Yemi reiterates Enyimba’s desire to retain NPFL title
Enyimba assistant coach, Olanrewaju Yemi says the team’s focus is to retain the Nigeria Premier Football League title.
The defending NPFL champions lost on penalties to rivals Abia Warriors in the Abia State Federation Cup on Sunday.
Yemi commended his players for their performance in the final of the competition.
“It was a good game against Abia Warriors playing on this type of turf that we aren’t used to I give kudos to the boys,” he told the club’s media.
“I’m impressed with the boys as we dominated and we could have scored more goals.
“Our focus is on the NPFL and the young players that featured in the state FA cup truly showed their qualities to compete in the first team.”
Enyimba will be up against Kano Pillars in the NPFL on Wednesday.
