Abia Warriors goalkeeper, Femi Thomas has expressed optimism ahead of their matchday 26 fixture against Sunshine Stars.
The veteran goalkeeper said the Umuahia-based club wants to make up for the midweek defeat against Heartland in Awka.
Thomas canvassed for the usual support from the fans in securing maximum points in the game.
“We as Abia Warriors want to be taking our matches one after the other,” he told the club’s media.
“Heartland game has come and gone. We as players know that we didn’t do well in the first half but the second half was better.
“Our next game against Sunshine Stars, I want to plead with the supporters to still believe in us because nothing but victory is assured.
“Our preparation has been top notch and we are confident that it will pay off in the game.”
Abia Warriors will host Sunshine Stars at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Sunday.
