Gideon Monday scored the decisive goal as Shooting Stars recorded their first away win of the season courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Doma United at the Pantami Township Stadium on Wednesday.
Monday fired home the winner on the dot of 45 minutes.
At the Awka City Stadium, Heartland ended their barren run following a 2-0 victory over Abia Warriors in the Oriental derby.
Onyekachi Okafor put Heartland ahead in the 20th minute, while Ikechukwu Mgbemene added the second four minutes later.
In Lafia, Lobi Stars maintained the top spot following a thrilling 3-2 win against Rivers United.
Samuel Tiza, Alao Danbani and Kumanga Suur were the goal scorers for the hosts.
Rivers United got their goals through Ukeme Williams and Mark Gibson.
