Manchester United winger, Jadon Sancho, is set to turn down a return to the Red Devils if manager Erik ten Hag continues to manage the squad next season, according to Bild.
Sancho’s decision comes after he “blames” Ten Hag for his recent decline as a player.
The Englishman was on loan to Dortmund since January after falling out with the Dutchman.
Sancho accused Ten Hag of using him as a scapegoat, leading to a disagreement between the two during a defeat against Arsenal in August.
Though Sancho deleted his post on social media, he still did not apologize to Ten Hag.
Man United has supported Ten Hag in this matter, stating that Sancho must apologize publicly to the manager if he wants to return to the squad.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe of INEOS and his partners became partial owners of the club after Sancho’s departure and will assess the situation this summer.
However, if Ten Hag remains as the manager, Sancho would push for a permanent transfer away from the club this summer.
This news may spell uncertainty for Ten Hag’s future at Man United, though the Old Trafford club may retain him for the final year of his contract, which ends in 2025, considering the cost of a potential sacking – around £12m.
