Juan Mata praises Man Utd star for his impressive performance

Former Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has recently commended Kobbie Mainoo for his outstanding performance in the ongoing season.

In a recent interview with AS, Mata talked about his former club, where he spent eight years from 2014 to 2022.

The Spaniard lauded Alejandro Garnacho for his mentality and maturity and dubbed Rasmus Hojlund a strong forward with good confidence.

When asked about Mainoo, Mata expressed that he seems like a good player and a positive surprise for the club.

“I didn’t know Mainoo when he was in the youth team, but he is a very positive surprise,” Mata said.

“He seems like a very good player.”

Mainoo has so far made 17 appearances for Erik Ten Hag’s side this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
