Dambe Warriors talk tough ahead Super fight 2 in Lagos
The Dambe Warriors Super fight will take centre stage in Lagos on Sunday as nine top-of-the-table bouts are slated to be held at the Muri Okunola Park in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The excitement among Dmbe fans has been palpable as some of the key actors have been talking tough, ahead of the bill.
According to the organisers, there will be six professional fights involving newly promoted Warriors and three topflight bouts featuring fighters who have established themselves in the top division.
Winners in the top flight fights will get N1m each as prize money, while those who win their professional fights will get N500,000 each.
One of the warriors in the lightweight category Yar Mage has vowed to beat his opponent Zayyanu again after their tense encounter in Kano last month in which he emerged victorious.
“I will beat him again and repeat what I did in Kano,” he enthused. Ya Mage on his part said he lost in Kano because he was not well prepared.
“My name means the child of a cat and nobody puts a cat down. I’m fit and ready to go,” he boasted.
In the middleweight category, Shaaban and Ramadan spoke of their resolve to give Lagos fans a show they will not forget easily.
“I believe that with prayer and focus, I will give him a serious beating,” he boasted.
For Ramadan, good fighters don’t talk much: “We will meet in the ring,” he said.
