Sportsville CEO Meets Odegbami, Finalizes Plans For Awards Ceremony
Frank Ilaboya, the Chief Executive Officer of Sportsville Communication Services Ltd, convened with Dr. Segun Odegbami MON, Chairman of this year’s awards ceremony, to put the finishing touches on plans for a successful event scheduled for Friday, March 1st, 2024, at EKO CLUB, Surulere, Lagos.
The meeting, held at Odegbami’s Banana Island residence, was a long-awaited reunion, marking the first encounter between the two in over two years.

Over a sumptuous lunch prepared by Odegbami’s chef, attention turned to the cover of the award brochure, which garnered praise from the former Green Eagles Skipper for its design.
However, Odegbami expressed genuine interest in understanding how Ilaboya was navigating the economic challenges of financing such a significant project.
Ilaboya, in turn, provided a detailed briefing, receiving attentive approval from Odegbami, known for his commitment to excellence.
As a mentor who once provided Ilaboya with a breakthrough opportunity in television, Odegbami’s support and guidance hold special significance.
Reflecting on their shared history, Ilaboya acknowledged Odegbami’s pivotal role in shaping his career, particularly through employment at Worldwide Sports Ltd in 1996.
