West African Basketball Championship secures support from Peak Wears.
The West African Basketball Championship under the auspices of FIBA Africa Zone 3, has announced a sponsorship collaboration with Peak, a global sports clothing and equipment production brand ahead of the first round of matches starting on Saturday, 24 February in Togo. The sponsorship package includes kits, playing shoes, apparel for officials, and customised game balls for all six participating teams in the WABC. The fully kitted teams include ASPAC from Benin, Customs from Ghana, ELAN Coton from Benin, Gidi Giants Kwara Falcons from Nigeria and Swallows from Togo. According to WABC management, the sponsorship will provide essential kit support for teams and match officials to underscore Peak’s commitment to fostering sports development in West Africa and supporting grassroots basketball initiatives. Also, the champion of the classics will embark on a playing tour of China, sponsored by Peak. This unique opportunity will provide exposure and valuable experience for the victorious team, highlighting Peak’s commitment to supporting basketball development in Africa. The WABC tournament will feature two phases played in different centres, culminating in a Final Four to determine the champion.
