360 Africa Media gets NOC appointment as Olympic fundraiser

The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has announced the appointment of an international marketing group, 360 Africa Media Ltd, to assist it in raising funds for the Committee to support the National team in the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

The Paris 2024 Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024.

The group operates in Nigeria as well as several major capitals across the world.

The primary objective of this collaboration is to secure financial support for the NOC, primarily to benefit the Nigerian national teams competing as ”Team Nigeria’ at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

As an essential pillar of the Nigerian sports landscape, the NOC aims to provide its athletes with the necessary resources and support to excel on the international stage.

The marketing group hopes to utilize its expertise and connections to identify potential sponsors and donors who are interested in supporting Nigerian athletes.

By leveraging their network and strategic marketing techniques, they will create tailored fundraising campaigns to generate funds for the NOC.

These campaigns may include sponsorship opportunities, advertising deals, and various promotional activities.

The collaboration between the NOC and the 360 international marketing group is expected to have a significant impact on the capabilities and opportunities available to Nigerian athletes.

Increased financial support will enable the NOC to enhance training programmes, secure top-notch coaching staff, provide state-of-the-art equipment, and support athletes throughout their Olympic journey.

Additionally, the funds raised will aid in promoting sports development across Nigeria. By investing in grassroots sports initiatives and infrastructure, the NOC aims to encourage youth participation and nurture talent at the grassroots level.

This commitment to sports development will not only benefit the national team but also contribute to the overall growth of Nigerian sports.

With the appointment of this group, the NOC is taking proactive steps to secure adequate funding and support for Nigerian athletes at the 2024 Olympic Games.

By leveraging their global network and expertise, this collaboration seeks to expand the resources available to the NOC and provide the Nigerian national teams with the best possible opportunity for success on the international stage.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on January 31, 2024, at the Committees Building within the National Stadium, Lagos.

The President of NOC, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel and the Secretary-General, Babatunde Popoola signed on behalf of the committee while the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of 360 Africa, Mrs Adeseun Oyeneye and Head of Operations, Abiola Apemola signed for the fundraiser.
