Philadelphia reaches Italy with landmark Serie A deal

The Italian top-tier football league, Serie A has signed a major partnership with the renowned cream cheese developer, Philadelphia.

Following the deal, Philadelphia has been named the official sponsor of the Serie A 2023-24 edition.

Through this pact, the brand will be amassing significant brand visibility, as the logo of the entity will be seen on the pitchside LED during the EA SPORTS FC Supercup and the Frecciarossa Italian Cup Final.

Secondly, the company will also be serving as the presenting sponsor of the highlights of all the games of the Italian top flight on its official YouTube channel and its app.

Furthermore, the entity will be the title sponsor of the “Coach of the Month” and “Coach of the Year” awards.

Luigi De Siervo, Chief Executive Officer, Lega Serie A, stated, “We welcome with satisfaction the entry among our partners of one of the largest multinationals in the food sector such as Mondelez. Philadelphia Coach Of The Month”, an award that certifies not only the results and the entertainment offered, but also the fair play and behavior inside and off the pitch. Lega Serie A thus continues along the path of valorising its assets, connecting them to companies of absolute international standing and to brands with which we share values and objectives, also creating synergies between our partners as will happen between Philadelphia and Fantacalcio, which will bring the best Fantasy Coach to reward the Coach Of The Year at the end of the season.

Silvia Bagliani , President and CEO of the Mondelēz International Group in Italy, remarked, “With immense pleasure we announce the prestigious partnership between Philadelphia, the iconic brand of Mondelēz International, and Lega Serie A – an alliance founded on the shared values of quality, passion and excellence. This agreement marks a significant milestone in our ambition to be a leader in communications through the integration of valuable partnerships into the marketing plans of our brands. We firmly believe that the synergies we will create together with Lega Serie A will lead to new and engaging experiences for our consumers and will strengthen the bond between Philadelphia and all football fans in Italy.”
