Plateau Governor, Muftwang Boosts Mighty Jets With 30-seater Bus
In his quest to ensure better performance and fulfillment of his campaign promise of revamping the sports sector in Plateau state, the Executive Governor of Plateau State Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has approved the purchase of a 30-seater coaster bus for Jos-based NNL side, Mighty Jets International FC.
In a statement made available to journalists, General Manager of the club, Mr. Ferdinand Mbum, said the approval and immediate purchase of the bus became a necessity for the Governor, having seen the plight of the football club overtime with regards to mobility and logistics.
Mr. Mbum said “We came into the club to make a huge difference and one of such ways to do that is to create a befitting platform and atmosphere for the youths to thrive through this sport.
“I understand the challenges faced by Mighty Jets, having been part of the team for about thirteen years.
“Therefore, my blueprint for the club is to ensure the welfare of all personnel involved in order to get the best out of both players and staff.”
On the arrival of the brand new coaster bus, the General Manager further stated that “Governor Caleb Mutfwang is a promise keeper, a lover of the youth and also a lover of sports, while I was literally emotional at the manner in which he responded to our request for the purchase of this bus, I wasn’t surprised at all.”
The General Manager therefore appreciated the Governor and promised to make good use of the vehicle.
Mighty Jets International FC, the lone representative of Plateau State in the 2023/2024 NNL season have so far picked five points in their last four games and are fifth on the log after beating NAF Rockets FC of Abuja 2-0 on Saturday at the Jos New Stadium to record their first win.
