Lagos Sports Commission Wins Tug O’ War As Speaker’s Game Winds Down
The Lagos State Sports Commission indomitable Team, on Saturday, emerged as the champions of the 2023 Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker’s Game in the Tug O’ War event in celebration of the Rt. Honourable Speaker, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, on the occasion of his 51st Birthday.
Sports Commission Team maintained their dominance in the event held at the Assembly pitch before their final clash against LAG FERRY, having defeated the Education Team 2-0 in the semi-finals, a wonderful show displayed in the final in front of the Speaker Mudashiru Obasa and other members of the state House of Assembly and dignitaries who saw them coasting home 2-1 against LAGFERRY to emerge champions.
While saluting the perseverance of the team, the Director General, @lagossportscomm
Oluwatoyin Gafaar described them as a formidable force keeping fit and improving their health.
“They are in sports. Sports is in them. They are keeping fit and it is a good direction that they are moving”.
Gafaar also congratulated the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly Rt. Honourable Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa, I wish him many more birthdays, in sound mind and sound health.
Medal Presentation was conducted by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Tayo Ayinde.
Also present at the event were the Director of Public Affairs, Titi Oshodi-Eko and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Damilare Orimoloye.
