The Rangers hero has blasted the Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone following his actions during his side’s 6-0 win over Celtic last night.
The Argentine went straight up the tunnel without shaking Brendan Rodgers’ hand after the full-time whistle in the Champions League tie.
Following the first game between the teams in Glasgow, Simeone was criticised for his half-hearted attempts at a handshake with Rodgers before making his way back to the changing rooms.
And McCoist admits he’s not having the 53-year-old one bit.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s breakfast show, he said: “I tell you who I am not having, by the way. I am not having that manager, Simeone.”
Co-host Alan Brazil responded: “His antics on the touchline. He does it all the time. Stuff them. They won’t win anything, anyway.”
McCoist came back in: “I am not having it. I just think he is rude. He has no class and no manners. I really do. The other week not shaking hands with Brendan was embarrassing.
“I don’t know what happened last night, but I just saw him run straight up the tunnel again like he isn’t going to shake hands with anybody again.”
Rodgers appeared to have a go at Simeone during the game after the incident which saw Daizen Maeda sent off for a challenge on Mario Hermoso.
Post-match he said: “It was always going to be a challenge for us 11 versus 11 against their quality, but to get the man sent off so early after we made a good start, looked confident and ready to fight for the game…really, really disappointed with the sending off.
“I think when you see the images that the referee sees it wasn’t representative of the actual challenge, both players sort of clashed feet and kicked each other so for us then to lose a man for that was going to be really really difficult.”
