D’Tigers Emerge Champions Of China Autumn Basketball Tour
Nigeria Senior Male Basketball Team D’Tigers have emerged winners of the China Autumn Tour.
During the Tournament, D’Tigers defeated some of the best-ranked basketball teams in the world including China, USA and Serbia, amongst the countries, that participated in the tournament.
Sources in China disclosed that the Nigeria national basketball team played exciting games with lots of grit, passion, determination and uncommon fervour during their matches to the delight of thousands of fans who quickly converted to become fans of D’Tigers.
It was clearly evident too, that the team was equally determined to make Nigeria proud, particularly, after failing to pick the Olympic games qualifiers ticket on home soil.
The China Autumn Tour was an all-expenses trip paid for the organisers. And expectedly, the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), took advantage of the opportunity to further expose the home-based players to international competitions, as well as, boost their confidence level.
It would be recalled that the NBBF board led by Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, stated clearly that its mission is to make basketball in Nigeria, better and attractive to the teeming fans, and of course, to ensure that the national basketball teams are ranked amongst the best on the continent and in the world.
