Grassroots Football: Lagos LG Boss Splashes N1.750m On Winning Teams At Chairman Cup
As part of the activities to celebrate his two years in office, the Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Hon. Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe is set to sponsor a football competition for the youths in Kosofe local government.
Sports Marketing International reports that the maiden edition of the football competition which has been dubbed, “The Chairman Cup”, will be competed for by the youths in all seven wards in the local government area, and will hold from 16th – 17th September 2023 at 7 am.
According to the organizer of the competition, the Senior Special Assistant on Sports to the Chairman, Hon. Bababunmi Ayoola Ositelu, the competition would be held at Emmanuel Primary School, Ojota, Lagos, and the winner of the competition will go home with a N1 million cash prize while the first runners-up and second runners-up will get cash prizes of N500,000 and N250,000 respectively.
