Inter announce Simone Inzaghi’s contract extension
Inter have confirmed Simone Inzaghi’s contract extension until June 2025.
The Nerazzurri released an official statement on Tuesday morning.
“FC Internazionale Milano is delighted to announce that Simone Inzaghi has signed a new contract with the club to remain as head coach until 2025,” said the Serie A giants.
The Italian tactician was appointed in 2021 replacing Antonio Conte.
He has won four titles during his two-year stay at the Stadio Meazza, two Coppa Italia and two Italian Supercups. His contract was set to expire in June 2024, but Inter have now reached an agreement to extend his stay by one more season, until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
Inzaghi, 50, has won 72 of his 112 games in charge of the Nerazzurri, seeing his team score 215 goals and concede 100.
He led the Nerazzurri to their first Champions League Final in 13 years last season but lost to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in Istanbul.
Inter have won their opening three Serie A games this term and are the only club in the league with no goals conceded so far in 2023-24.
