With only days remaining in the transfer window, Liverpool are facing a race against time to complete any last-minute deals.

Jurgen Klopp has added three players to his squad this summer, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo, and may be tempted to further strengthen ahead of Friday’s deadline.

Central defence and midfield are two key areas of the pitch in which the Reds are still lacking, which could well become a problem for Klopp should injuries in either position mount over the course of the season.

As rumours continue to swirl, both in terms of incomings and outgoings, we have rounded up the latest reports below.

Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad are reportedly readying a €150million (£128m) bid for Mohamed Salah.

The Liverpool talisman continues to be linked with a move to the Middle East, despite Jurgen Klopp playing down such talk, though it is suggested the reigning Saudi Pro League champions are ‘ready to test’ the resolve of the Reds with a big-money bid for the Egyptian.

CBS have stated Al-Ittihad are proposing an offer worth an initial $108m (£85.85m), with a further $54million (£42.9m) in performance-related bonuses.

The ECHO understands the Reds have no intention of selling the 31-year-old at present and are yet to receive a formal offer for his services.

Commenting on the future of Salah earlier this month, the forward’s agent posted on Twitter: “If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”
