SCRABBLE: Pladis Global, Kenya Airways, Other Multinationals Boost PANASA President’s Cup, African Youth Tourney
Pladis Global, one of the known names in the Confectionery industry, is supporting the inaugural Pan African Scrabble Association (PANASA President’s Cup and African Youth Scrabble Championships in Lagos.
The Africa Youth Scrabble Championships will be held at the Orchid Hotel Ikota-Lekki, while the President’s Cup holds at Chrisland School Lekki in Lagos from 24 – 28 August 2023.
Sports Marketing International reports that Pladis is one of the world market leaders in the snack sector. The company has more than 300 years of family experience in the bakery and confectionery industry.
As the second-largest biscuit manufacturer in the world and home to some of the tastiest and most popular snack brands in the world, the company’s diverse range of snacks is available in more than 150 countries, including 14 countries participating in the President’s Cup (PPC) and the African Junior Scrabble Championship (AYSC).
Other major companies supporting the Pan African Scrabble Association (PANASA) include Kenya Airways, Air Peace, Friesland Campina WAMCO Plc, Diageo Nigeria and Awosika Educational Foundation.
PANASA signed a deal with Kenyan Airways. Players coming to Nigeria for the two-in-one event will get a discount. The discount code will be issued for flights to Lagos, Nigeria during the period of the Championship. Vouchers will only be valid for use from Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Botswana, South Africa and Tanzania.
