Gateway United, LOC Forge Alliance for Mega 2024 Sports Festival
The Management of Gateway United has initiated talks of collaboration with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 2024 National Sports Festival (NSF).
Sports Marketing International understands that this initiative was at the centre of a courtesy visit led by Niyi Soleye, the acting General Manager of Gateway United to Chief Bukola Olopade, the chairman of the NSF 2024 LOC, at his residence in Abeokuta.
Congratulating Chief Olopade on his appointment, Niyi Soleye conveyed unwavering confidence in his capability to host an unprecedented sports festival.
He remarked, “Chief Olopade is the right person for this role, having demonstrated his prowess in the past, particularly with the successful staging of the 2006 edition, which still stands as a benchmark. We believe he will surpass that achievement and deliver the best sports festival in Africa.”
Soleye emphasized that their visit aimed not only to commend Chief Olopade but also to offer their full support and collaboration where necessary. He assured that Gateway United would always be willing partners in any venture that promotes sports in the state.
In response, Chief Olopade expressed gratitude for the visit and assured that he would carefully consider the suggestions put forth. He urged Gateway United to focus on rejuvenating their team.
A home and away replica jerseys were presented to Chief Olopade signifying a promising alliance between Gateway United and the NSF 2024 LOC.
