Liverpool set to receive £60m bid from Saudi club Al-Ittihad for Salah

Liverpool are set to receive a £60 million bid from Al-Ittihad for Mohamed Salah, according to reports in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Ittihad, who finished as champions of the Saudi Pro League last season, have already strengthened with the signings of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Jota this summer.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have already lost Jordan Henderson to Al-Ettifaq, while Fabinho completed his move to Al-Ittihad last week.

According to Saudi television station Al-Riyadiah, Al-Ittihad are now in talks with Salah’s representatives to discuss a potential move before the end of the summer window.

The report claims that the Saudi club are willing to offer Salah a deal worth €180 million (£155m) over two seasons and will submit a £60m bid to Liverpool.

Fabinho made the move from Liverpool to Al-Ittihad earlier this summer
A source close to the player told Al-Riyadiah: ‘It is true. There are negotiations between Mohamed Salah and the Saudi club Al-Ittihad.

‘The offer must be attractive for the Egyptian star to come to play in Saudi Arabia. Salah still has a lot to offer in England.’
