In the harsh letter that PSG sent to Kylian Mbappé on July 3, which was in response to the one that the striker previously sent to the club in June in which he expressed his desire not to renew his contract, the club called on its star to meet with them as soon as possible.

The goal was to meet before July 31, with Nasser Al Khelaifi, at the presentation of Luis Enrique on July 5, pointing out that a solution had to be found within 10 days or two weeks at the latest.

“We are not going to let him go free, it is impossible,” said the club president emphatically.

This Tuesday is the deadline set by PSG in its letter, and nothing has changed. Kylian has until tomorrow to renew his contract automatically until 2025.

It’s already known that he will not do so since he has already made that clear to the club, meaning the striker will thus end his contract in June 2024 and leave on a free.

The club could offer him a new contract, and it was considered some time ago, but in Paris they are certain that the player would reject it, as he has done with the offer from Saudi Arabia last week.

They believe he has already given his word to Real Madrid.

Resting in Monaco
Meanwhile, Mbappé took advantage of the weekend off to rest in Monaco, where he has been seen on social media. On Sunday he left an enigmatic message with playing cards. Kylian did not travel to Japan for the squad’s preseason tour, as the club look to mount the pressure before the deadline.

However, the player hasn’t changed his approach despite the pressure, Now we will have to see how Luis Enrique manages things in August with the whole team already at the Cité Sportif de Poissy and with the start of Ligue 1 getting closer and closer.

The day after tomorrow the team plays against Inter in Tokyo, two days later in South Korea against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and on the 12th is the first Ligue 1 match against Lorient.

No news from Madrid, for now
The club must decide whether to continue to rule out Mbappé with the transfer market still open. For now, the only offer that has arrived has come from Arabia.

In Paris, they are ready for Madrid to make a move if they really want Kylian this year, but it is likely they won’t do so until near the end of the transfer market and with a very low offer, which would force PSG to accept it before the player leaves for free in June.

As for the amount that the French club would accept, no figures have emerged from Paris, but the goal has always been to recover at least part of the heavy investment of the last year.
