The Kylian Mbappe transfer saga might be close to nearing an end, with a move to Real Madrid from PSG now appearing very likely.
The 24-year-old has been banished from the first-team squad by the Ligue 1 champions due to his refusal to renew his contract or leave the club this summer.
Clubs like Al Hilal, Liverpool, and Chelsea are said to have shown an interest in the forward, but he remains fixed on joining Real Madrid only.
There had been no tangible action from the Spanish giants as they wanted either PSG or Mbappe himself to make the first move, but things appear to be moving in the background.
Indeed, reports suggest that Real Madrid wish to complete the signing of Mbappe by the second week of August and are confident of getting the job done.
Dembele’s move to PSG could facilitate Mbappe transfer
And now, sources suggest that PSG could be ready to facilitate Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid soon as they close in on the signing of Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona.
Indeed, reports last night indicated that the French champions had reached a verbal agreement on a five-year deal with the winger, and the only thing that now remains is paying his €50 million release clause before the end of the day today.
With the deal likely to go ahead, PSG will have secured a replacement for Mbappe, following which they could let him sign for Real Madrid, although the specifics of the deal could take some time.
As mentioned earlier, Real Madrid wish to finalise the transfer by the second week of August. PSG, too, wish to resolve his future in order to avoid paying a loyalty bonus and as such, Dembele’s move to Paris could speed things up.
