All roads lead to the Sports Centre of the University of Lagos in Akoka, Yaba, Lagos as the final ceremony of the 5th edition of JOF U-13 Cup
The 2026 edition of U-13 JOF Kids Cup Tournament, which kicked off a few weeks ago, is gradually progressing to tougher stages with the Round of 16 matches scheduled for this weekend.
The two centres at Ojo Oniyun and Lekki in Lagos will be agog on Saturday and Sunday as teams battle for quarter final tickets.
Last weekend when the Round of 32 matches were rounded up, Ikosi Football Academy from Ketu beat Mainland Football Academy 1-0. HB Utility from Ilupeju lost 1-2 to Soccer City of Iwaya, Latoyen Football Academy of Aguda beat B. Unit of Mainland 1-0, while Melody FA from Iwaya won 4-2 penalties after they played a barren draw game against Clever Star of Ajegunle all at Ojo Oniyun centre.
At Lekki centre, the likes of Ghetto Tiger from Mushin, VI Foot from Ijora, First Class from Lagos Island and Future Talent from Ojota all made it to the Round of 16 in matches decided last Saturday.
Strong Dove from Coker, Super Rainbow from Iwaya, Ultimate Football Academy Phoenix Boys from Apapa, Young Talent from Ajegunle, Ice football academy, Smart Striker from Ogun state and Fortune Football Academy will also play in this weekend’s matches.
Meanwhile, the organisers of the tournament, Lagos State Grassroots Football Association, disclosed that quarter final matches will be played on Sunday 5 April, 2026.
U-13 JOF Kids Cup Tournament is one of the Corporate Social Responsibility programs of the sponsor company, JOF Nigeria Limited, a wholly indigenous manufacturing and supply chain services organisation, which took special interest in the development of talents of the Nigerian youths.
