Lookman, Ajayi And Osayi-Samuel Boost Super Eagles Camp In Cairo
The Super Eagles’ camp in Cairo received a timely boost as Ademola Lookman, Semi Ajayi and Bright Osayi-Samuel officially reported for international duty ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming friendly against Egypt.
The trio arrived at the team’s base at the Renaissance Hotel in Cairo as preparations gathered momentum following the camp’s official opening on Sunday. More players are expected to join the squad as the day progresses, with the technical crew keen to have a near-complete group ahead of the first training session.
Key Eagles Touch Down In Egypt
Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman is expected to play a pivotal role in Nigeria’s attacking setup, bringing pace, creativity and goals to the side. The reigning African Footballer of the Year nominee has been in fine form at club level and will be keen to carry that momentum into the national team.
Defensive reinforcements also arrived in the form of Semi Ajayi and Bright Osayi-Samuel. Ajayi adds experience and aerial presence to the Super Eagles’ backline, while Osayi-Samuel’s energy and versatility on the flank provide the coaching crew with valuable tactical options.
Focus Shifts To Egypt Friendly
The three-time African champions are scheduled to hold their first training session later this evening as preparations intensify. The friendly against Egypt on Tuesday at the Cairo International Stadium is expected to serve as a crucial test, offering the technical crew an opportunity to assess combinations, fitness levels and tactical balance.
Facing the Pharaohs on their home turf will also provide a high-intensity environment, helping the Super Eagles fine-tune their readiness ahead of upcoming competitive fixtures.
With more arrivals anticipated and training underway, optimism is building around the camp as Nigeria look to lay down a strong marker in Cairo.
