Carlo Ancelotti Has ‘No Doubt’ Cristiano Ronaldo Will Reach 1,000 Goals — Demands Invitation To Celebration

Carlo Ancelotti has declared that he has “no doubt” Cristiano Ronaldo will become the first player in football history to reach the extraordinary 1,000-goal milestone, praising the Portuguese legend’s unmatched professionalism and longevity.

The Brazil national team coach, who enjoyed huge success with Ronaldo at Real Madrid, reflected on their time together and even joked that he expects an invitation to the celebration when the record is finally broken.

Ronaldo Closing In On The Milestone

The 40-year-old forward continues to defy age and expectations. Currently playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo has scored 953 career goals, including 143 for Portugal. His contract runs until 2027 — giving him plenty of time to reach the fabled four-digit mark.

Speaking to AS, Ancelotti expressed his total confidence in the five-time Ballon d’Or winner:

“He’s going to achieve it, I’m sure of it. Have no doubt he’ll do it,” Ancelotti said. “Cristiano and Luka Modric are professionals who love football and are passionate about the sport. They will always achieve whatever they want. When Cristiano reaches 1,000 goals, he shouldn’t forget to invite me to the celebration!”

Mutual Respect And Shared Glory

Ancelotti and Ronaldo shared one of Real Madrid’s most iconic eras, famously winning the UEFA Champions League in 2014 — the club’s historic La Décima. The Italian tactician has often hailed Ronaldo’s relentless hunger and discipline as the foundation of his greatness.

Now, as Ancelotti focuses on guiding Brazil to success at the 2026 World Cup, Ronaldo remains a global inspiration — continuing to score nearly a goal per game in the Saudi Pro League, with 10 goals in 11 matches this season.

Ronaldo Confirms 2026 Will Be His Last World Cup

The Portuguese captain has already confirmed that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be his final appearance on the global stage. Speaking to CNN, he said:

“Definitely, yes. I will be 41 years old, and I think this will be the moment in the big competition.”

He also hinted that retirement could come “in one or two years,” aligning perfectly with the timeline for his 1,000-goal pursuit — a fitting finale for one of football’s greatest ever players.

As Ancelotti continues his coaching legacy and Ronaldo pushes for immortality, their enduring respect serves as a reminder that passion, professionalism, and purpose remain timeless traits in football’s greatest stories
