The Football Association confirmed that Agyemang will receive “the full support of the Lionesses family,” while Arsenal and Brighton issued joint messages saying they are “in close contact” and working to “determine a treatment and recovery programme for Michelle.”
Agyemang’s injury marks a bitter end to what had been an extraordinary year.
The teenage forward exploded onto the scene earlier in 2025 — scoring just 41 seconds into her England debut and going on to play a pivotal role in the Lionesses’ Euro 2025 triumph, where she netted in both the quarter-finals and semi-finals before being named Young Player of the Tournament.
