Ebere Eze Celebrates Scoring For Arsenal Against Crystal Palace
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has opened up about Ebere Eze’s passion and hunger to represent the Gunners, following the midfielder’s decisive strike in their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Nigerian-born England international, who joined Arsenal from Palace in August, found the net for the first time in seven Premier League appearances, sealing a crucial victory for his new club.
Speaking after the game, Arteta praised Eze’s composure and professionalism, highlighting that the 26-year-old had always dreamed of playing for Arsenal.
“I didn’t see any difference. He’s super relaxed always before the game, always a big smile on his face,” Arteta said.
“He’s desperate to play games, and I haven’t noticed anything different. He’s been there a long time, and obviously, there were strong feelings and gratitude to Crystal Palace — today was a very special game for him.”
Eze’s journey to Arsenal has been one of patience and persistence. Since his move, he’s been gradually adapting to the team’s rhythm — and Sunday’s goal felt like the perfect statement.
Arteta didn’t hold back his admiration for the midfielder’s mentality and match-winning instinct.
“That’s what big players do — and he’s certainly a big player,” Arteta added.
“Hopefully, that’s going to give him a big boost and confidence to generate many more moments like this because that’s the kind of moment that sometimes defines a season.”
Eze’s performance couldn’t have come at a better time for the North London side, as they continue their push for the Premier League title. His creativity, flair, and composure add a new dynamic to Arteta’s attacking options.
Fans will be hoping that this goal marks the start of a consistent run of form for Eze — one that could make him a key figure in Arsenal’s season-defining moments.
