Antoine Semenyo Release Clause Revealed As Liverpool Eye Move For In-Form Bournemouth Winger

Semenyo Drawing Heavyweight Interest
Liverpool have been handed a major transfer boost as Antoine Semenyo’s release clause has reportedly been revealed, paving the way for a potential move to Anfield.

The Ghanaian winger, who signed a new deal with Bournemouth during the summer, is enjoying an incredible run of form — scoring six goals and providing three assists in just eight games this season.

Semenyo’s performances have sparked interest from Liverpool, Chelsea, and Tottenham, with all three clubs keen to bolster their attacking options. Liverpool, who sold Luis Díaz in the summer, are said to be looking for another top-class wide player to complement Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike.

During the last transfer window, Bournemouth reportedly quoted £70 million (€80m) for the 24-year-old, but his latest contract — which runs for five years — includes a confidential release clause, setting up what could become one of the Premier League’s biggest transfer tussles in 2026.

Release Clause Figure Kept Under Wraps
While it’s now known that Semenyo’s contract has a release clause, Bournemouth are refusing to reveal the exact figure. However, sources suggest it’s likely in the region of £70 million, the same amount demanded during the summer.

This secrecy could lead to bidding chaos, as clubs might be tempted to test Bournemouth’s resolve with aggressive offers. The situation mirrors Morgan Gibbs-White’s near move to Tottenham, where an undisclosed release clause caused a transfer standoff before the midfielder recommitted to Nottingham Forest.

‘Humble’ Semenyo Raising Standards At Bournemouth
Despite the mounting attention, Semenyo remains grounded and focused on Bournemouth’s stellar start to the season.

“We’ve been riding high for a little bit. I think the bar has been set quite high,” Semenyo told club media. “On the whole, it’s been a good start. We want to stay humble, take it game by game, and keep pushing.”

Under Andoni Iraola, the Cherries have been one of the surprises of the Premier League season, sitting fourth in the table, just two points behind leaders Arsenal.

Bournemouth’s early-season heroics include wins against Tottenham, Brighton, Fulham, and Wolves, as well as gritty draws against Leeds and Newcastle.

Their fast, attacking style has made them a neutral favorite — and Semenyo’s explosive pace and composure in front of goal have made him one of the league’s standout performers.

Sports Market Insight:
If Semenyo continues this trajectory, it’s only a matter of time before one of Europe’s elite clubs comes knocking. With Liverpool leading the chase and a release clause now in play, Bournemouth could be bracing themselves for a blockbuster January or summer transfer saga.
