On October 4, 2025, HRM Prof. Epiphany Chigbogu Azinge led a 5km fitness walk from Stephen Keshi Stadium to Kanebisi Roundabout in Asaba as part of his 1st Coronation Anniversary activities.
The event drew large crowd, with participants including palace chiefs, members of the Red Cross, Lions Club International, Medical Care Team from FMC Asaba, security personnels, and members of the Press.
The fitness walk saw a grand participation of Asaba indigenes and stakeholders, highlighting the importance of fitness and well-being in the community.
Asagba Azinge expressed gratitude to Dr. Mininim Oseji, Delta State Head of Civil Service, who directed Delta State civil servants to participate in the walk. The Monarch suggested that the fitness walk should not be a one-time event but a regular exercise for the health and well-being of the people.
His Majesty appreciated the Chairman of the Asagba International Race Committee, Ogbueshi Wing Commander Peter Iweze, and members of his committee for putting the event together.
A King’s Walk, The People’s Wellness!
The fitness walk is part of the ongoing coronation anniversary activities, and Asagba Azinge invited everyone to participate in the remaining events. The Monarch’s initiative aims to promote health and wellness in the community, and the event was a huge success.
