Tottenham Reject Brooklyn Earick’s Takeover Interest Amid Post-Levy Uncertainty

Tottenham Hotspur have rejected a third expression of takeover interest following the surprise departure of long-serving executive chairman Daniel Levy earlier this month.

Tottenham Say “Not For Sale”

In a firm statement, Enic Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd, which controls nearly 87% of Spurs, dismissed the latest approach led by American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick.

Enic clarified:

“Tottenham Hotspur is not for sale and Enic is not looking to sell its stake in the club.”

Despite their stance, speculation has only grown after Earick posted an image from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium dressing room, featuring a timer counting down to 24 October. Under UK takeover rules, his consortium must either make a formal offer or withdraw by that date.

Earick’s Background

Earick, a former DJ and ex-NASA spacecraft researcher, now runs Redacted RnD, a company specialising in technology, media, sport, and entertainment. His involvement has attracted attention given his unconventional career path and public social media hints.

Spurs Ownership Situation

Tottenham’s majority control rests with the Lewis family, while Levy and his relatives hold roughly 30%. Sources close to the family reiterated that:

“This unsolicited and unnecessary interest does nothing to change the family’s resolve and commitment to driving success on the pitch.”

Previous Takeover Interest

On 8 September, Spurs also rejected bids from:

  • Amanda Staveley’s PCP International Finance Limited

  • A consortium led by Dr Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng through Firehawk Holdings

Levy’s exit after more than 20 years at the helm, during which he reportedly earned over £50m, has been seen by some as a signal that the club could be open to new ownership. However, both public and private messages from Enic insist Tottenham is not on the market.

What’s Next?

With Spurs’ first trophy in 16 years secured last May in the Europa League final, speculation around the club’s future ownership will likely intensify. The coming weeks will reveal whether Earick’s interest is genuine — and whether the Lewis family’s resistance will hold firm in the post-Levy era.
