Noah Okafor reportedly passed his Leeds United medical this evening, so Milan completed the sale for €21m including add-ons.
A formal statement is expected on Thursday morning from the Premier League club, but Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto assure the paperwork has already been signed.
Okafor medical was a concern for Milan
The Switzerland international flew out for his medical tests today and it is reported there were no issues with those examinations.
This is very important for Milan, because Okafor had seen a transfer to RB Leipzig abandoned in January when he failed a standard medical.
Instead, he then joined Napoli on loan at a cost of €1.5m, making only four appearances for a total 36 minutes of football.
It was therefore much to the Rossoneri’s relief that they managed to get Okafor sold this summer for €21m including performance-related bonuses.
That is a profit, as he was originally purchased from RB Salzburg for €15.5m in 2023.
There was also interest from Fenerbahce, Flamengo, Bologna and Lecce, but Leeds United came in with a big offer.
