Nigeria’s CHAN 2024 captain Nduka Junior has issued a bold rallying cry ahead of tomorrow’s decisive Group D clash against Sudan in Zanzibar.
Facing reporters at the pre-match press conference, Nduka stressed that the team is ready to shut out distractions and channel all energy into securing victory.
“Expectation is very high, but we will not allow anything to distract us. We will remain focused, determined, and dedicated,” the skipper declared.
His words came alongside a strong message from head coach Éric Chelle, who made it clear that the clash is a “must-win” for the Super Eagles B after their opening defeat to Senegal.
“If you watched the game against Senegal, you’d know we didn’t deserve to lose — it was one mistake that cost us. We have worked on that mistake, and the game we must win is this one against Sudan,” Chelle said, pointing to the team’s five-week intensive training as proof of their readiness.
With both sides still hunting their first victory, tomorrow’s match at Amaan Stadium is set to be a high-stakes battle that could define Nigeria’s CHAN 2024 journey.
