Milan have made Liverpool forward Darwin Nuñez their number one priority to reinforce their attack, reports from Italy claim.
According to what has been reported by SkySport, Milan have made contact with the Uruguayan forward and the Rossoneri are serious about providing new head coach Massimiliano Allegri with a top striker.
The reports also name Arnaud Kalimuendo, Dusan Vlahovic and Rasmus Hojlund as alternatives but underline Nuñez as the number one target.
Milan face competition for Darwin Nuñez
However, it is not just Milan in the race for the Uruguayan. Sky report that Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are also interested in the forward but have yet to submit any official proposal.
Simone Inzaghi’s side have already had an impact on the Rossoneri’s transfer window this summer – having purchased French full-back Theo Hernandez from the Serie A side earlier in the window.
Last season, Nuñez scored five goals and provided two assists in 30 Premier League matches and Liverpool have already signed Hugo Ekitike and are rumoured to be working on a deal for Newcastle’s Alexander Isak. Therefore, the Reds are prepared to entertain offers for the former Benfica forward.
