According to Fabrizio Romano, the paperwork has finally been completed, so Victor Osimhen will have his Galatasaray medical on Wednesday for the €75m move from Napoli.
The striker is expected to land in Istanbul on Wednesday evening so that he can have the necessary tests on Thursday and sign the contract.
The city is very familiar to the Nigeria international, who spent last season on loan with Galatasaray, scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 competitive appearances.
He was determined to make the move a permanent one, turning down more lucrative offers from Al-Hilal.
Osimhen only wanted Galatasaray
Napoli would not budge on the terms of the deal, demanding the full €75m figure of the release clause, even if it is not technically being activated.
Galatasaray agreed to pay €40m upfront and the remaining €35m by the end of 2026.
The Partenopei should reportedly also be entitled to up to €5m in bonuses and retain a 10 per cent sell-on clause.
There is also crucially an anti-Serie A clause included, preventing Osimhen from joining one of their competitors within the next two years.
Although that agreement was reached on July 20, it is only now that the financial guarantees have been signed and counter-signed.
