The striker’s been talking team-mates
Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski has hailed Marcus Rashford following his arrival at the club this summer from Manchester United.
The forward is set to add to the competition for places up front, during his season-long loan, and Lewandowski is happy to see him arrive.
“Marcus has great talent. He showed it a few years ago, when he played against us in the Europa League,” he told Catalunya Radio.
“He is also a player who can play in several positions. There will be many games during the season, so it will be very good for us to have players who can help us. Rashford’s arrival is good for the team.”
Lewandowski also spoke about Lamine Yamal and is expecting even more from the teenager in the 2025-26 campaign.
“Lamine, we can no longer say that he is a child. He is an adult because he just turned 18. He is a great player and an excellent guy off the field,” he added.
“This year he will play even better, because he also has more experience. Lamine will play at a higher level every season.”
Lewandowski, Yamal and Rashford are all part of Barca’s pre-season tour squad that’s just arrived in Japan for games against Vissel Kobe, FC Seoul and Daegu.
