Team Kaduna Are Champions At Gumel North West U-17 Volleyball Championship

 

 

Team Kaduna male and female teams displayed class and superiority as they dismantled opponents, to win both gold medals at the first Edition of Engr. Habu Gumel North West Under 17 Volleyball Championship.

The Kaduna male team humbled the hosts, Jigawa in the final 3-1.

Their female counterparts, earlier best hosts Jigawa to the gold.

Jigawa female team settled for the silver, while Kano got the bronze.

Disclosing this to our correspondent on Sunday, the Secretary, Kaduna State Volleyball Association (KADSVA), Adamu Mohammed praised both teams for finishing top and making the state proud.

“A champion geared towards grassroots development in the North West region and also an awakening for further participation in all competitions was filled with excitement for the KADA Team.

“The KADA TEAM won Gold medal for both male and female,” he said.

He congratulated the Chairman, Kaduna State Volleyball Association, Engr. Musa Nimrod and his board members for the victory,

“Congratulations to the Coaches, Hilary Barwa and Matthias L Philemon. Congratulations Kaduna State Ministry of Sports Development,” he said.

The championship was sponsored by the President Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Engr.Habu Gumel at Gumel, Jigawa State.

Chairman Kaduna State Volleyball Association, Engineer Musa Nimrod single handedly sponsored the state’s two teams.

The competition which served off on July 15, ended July 20, 2025.
