Napoli Exclude Osimhen From Pre-Season Camp Amid Galatasaray Talks

Galatasaray have been in talks with Napoli for the signing of Victor Osimhen since last week

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been excluded from Napoli pre-season plans, as he is expected to complete his transfer to Turkish Super Lig club Galatasaray in the coming days.

Since last week when Osimhen expressed his desire to join Galatasaray permanently, the Turkish giants have been in talks with Napoli over a transferred this summer.

The Lions initially submitted an offer of €50 million for Osimhen which was rejected. Then they submitted another €70 million bid. Since then, both parties have been in serious talks.

However, it seems like the deal will be concluded soon. This is as Napoli Zone reports that Napoli have excluded Osimhen from their pre-season plans.

The Partenopeans just opened their pre-season camp today, with the returning players undergoing medical tests. And of course, Osimhen was notably absent.

Meanwhile, Galatasaray have started playing pre-season games. Last week, they defeated Umraniyespor 5-2.

Osimhen has a great relationship with Galatasaray coach Orkan Buruk, and the Turkish tactician will hope to have him back so they can prepare for next season properly.

Galatasaray sure of success with Victor Osimhen
With Victor Osimhen set to return to Galatasaray for next season, the club is almost sure of silverware.

The Lions still have the core of the team available. They also signed Leroy Sane to bolster their attack.

If Osimhen completes his move to Rams Park, Galatasaray could have one of the deadliest attacks in Europe. They will also be able to compete with some of the big boys in the UEFA Champions League next season.

Last season, Osimhen contributed 37 goals and eight assists. The 26-year-old striker has the tendency to produce higher numbers next season, as he now has a better understanding of Turkish football.
