Milan have raised their offer for Ardon Jashari to €35m including add-ons and hope that this can finally convince Club Brugge.
The negotiations have been dragging on for some time, with the player eager to join the club he has supported since visiting San Siro as a child.
Club Brugge tried to block the move, claiming there was no price-tag, but Italian sources repeatedly suggested the magic figure was €35m.
Jashari now within reach for Milan
Multiple reports in Italy now state that Milan are close to that sum, offering €32m plus a series of add-ons and a percentage of the future transfer fee.
They are waiting for a response, aware also that Borussia Dortmund are about to push their way into the scenario with a potential offer too.
Jashari was on international duty with Switzerland and is scheduled to join up with his Club Brugge teammates for a pre-season training camp in London later this week.
He will be another midfield reinforcement for new Milan coach Max Allegri, as the deal is already done with Torino for Samuele Ricci.
The fee there is believed to be €23m plus another €1.5m in add-ons.
