Qatar Airways Lands Club World Cup 2025 Airline Partnership

Qatar Airways has been named the Official Airline Partner of the Club World Cup 2025, giving the airline prime visibility throughout the first edition of the 32-team tournament.

The partnership positions Qatar Airways to leverage its network of 170 global destinations – including 11 U.S. gateways – to deliver exclusive fan experiences during the tournament.

“This agreement with FIFA represents everything we value most: partnering with football’s highest level to bring fans closer to the action,” said Engr. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, CEO of Qatar Airways Group. “Our involvement in this tournament extends far beyond branding-we’re proud to unite players, officials, and fans through football and global connectivity.”

The timing proves strategic for Qatar Airways, which already sponsors two participating clubs. Both Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan – last season’s UEFA Champions League finalists – will compete in Los Angeles during the group stage, amplifying the airline’s brand presence and offering a myriad of opportunities to rack up those frequent flier miles.

Qatar Airways plans to maximize this partnership through 2030, aligning with FIFA’s long-term tournament strategy. Key objectives include activating in the U.S. market ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, capitalising on summer travel demand with football-focused campaigns, and leveraging its expanding presence in major US cities like New York, Miami, and Los Angeles.

“Their commitment to excellence and global connectivity makes them the ideal partner for this revolutionary tournament,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino. “For the first time, club football will truly unite the world – and Qatar Airways will be instrumental in making that vision reality.”

Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed but given Infantino’s close relationship with the Qatari’s, one can only assume a favorable deal was reached.
