Osimhen’s Future: Liverpool, United, Or Saudi After Juve Shift
Cristiano Giuntoli’s exit from Juventus is expected to dent their move for Super Eagles attacker, Victor Osimhen, in the summer transfer window, according to Soccernet.ng.
The Juventus sporting director’s decision to step down has cast uncertainty over the club’s transfer plans, which is expected to end their pursuit of the Nigerian international, per Football Italia.
Osimhen, who has been linked with several European giants, now appears more likely to consider offers from Liverpool, Manchester United, or clubs from the Saudi Pro League as he eyes an exit from Napoli.
Juventus had expressed serious interest in Osimhen earlier this year as they view him as a key asset to bolster their attacking options following a dismal season where they finished in fourth place.
Per reports, Giuntoli was key in luring Osimhen to Napoli from LOSC Lille during his time with the Neapolitans. He was keen on doing the same in Juventus. However, Giuntoli’s exit has left the club in a state of transition.
Liverpool and Manchester United have been actively monitoring Osimhen’s situation at Napoli, with the former English champions particularly eager to strengthen their frontline after a disappointing campaign for Darwin Núñez, who managed just seven goals across all competitions last season.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Pro League continues to attract top talent with lucrative offers, and Osimhen’s scoring record — including 37 goals during his loan spell at Galatasaray last season — has also piqued the interest of clubs outside Europe.
