Coca-Cola Inks 3-Year Premier League Return

Coca-Cola is making its return to the Premier League, signing a new three-year deal to become the league’s official soft drink partner starting from the 2025/26 season.

The agreement will see the global beverage giant roll out a range of fan-focused campaigns, including centre-circle experiences, ticket giveaways, and activations tied to the Premier League Summer Series. Coca-Cola plans to leverage a number of brands across its portfolio – including Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Powerade, and Smartwater – to maximise engagement with supporters in the UK and Ireland.

This isn’t Coca-Cola’s first foray into the Premier League – the company previously partnered with the league in 2018 – but the new deal signals a deeper commercial push at a time when football remains one of the most potent global marketing platforms.

The timing is also notable. Coca-Cola is one of FIFA’s longest-standing sponsors and will play a prominent commercial role at this summer’s expanded 32-team FIFA Club World Cup in the United States, which will feature Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City. With the Premier League’s reach and two of its marquee clubs playing on the global stage under the FIFA banner, Coca-Cola is positioning itself at the intersection of elite domestic and international football.

The partnership will officially begin with a UK and Ireland-wide on-pack promotion to launch ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Will Brass, Premier League chief commercial officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome back Coca-Cola as the Official Soft Drink Partner of the Premier League. Coca-Cola is loved and enjoyed by millions around the world, much like the Premier League, and bring years of experience in top level sport sponsorship and fan engagement.

“We look forward to working together over the coming seasons to drive further success for us both through this expansive, exciting partnership.”

No value was given for the sponsorship.

Javier Meza, president of marketing, Europe, Coca-Cola added: “We are thrilled to be partnering with the Premier League, the most competitive and compelling football league in the world.

“Football and the Premier League is a global passion, and we look forward to uplifting fans and making their experience even better by bringing them closer to the action.”
