Women’s President Federation Cup: Rivers Angels Faces Remo Stars

The stage is set for a thrilling round of quarterfinal clashes in the 2025 Women’s President Federation Cup, with defending champions Rivers Angels poised to take on Remo Stars Ladies in the headline fixture of the women’s competition.

The Nigeria Football Federation confirmed that all four matches will be played simultaneously on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, kicking off at 1:00 PM across various venues.

Rivers Angels, who lifted the trophy in the 2024 edition, will face a determined Remo Stars Ladies side at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.

The champions are hoping to continue their title defense with a strong performance against the tournament debutants who have shown grit and resilience so far.

In Aba, Ibom Angels will go head-to-head with Heartland Queens FC at the Enyimba International Stadium. Both teams have enjoyed a solid run in the tournament and will be eager to book a spot in the semifinals.

Elsewhere, Edo Queens will lock horns with Unification FC at the Ijebu Ode Stadium. With home advantage and passionate local support, Edo Queens are tipped as slight favorites, but Unification FC could prove to be the surprise package of the round.

The Women’s President Federation Cup final fixture of the day sees Sunshine Queens battling Nasarawa Amazons at the Awka City Stadium.

This promises to be an intense encounter, with both sides boasting a mix of youth and experience.

As the competition heats up, fans across the country are gearing up for what promises to be an action-packed day of football.

The winners of each quarterfinal clash will advance to the semifinals, bringing them one step closer to national glory.
