Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface is reportedly the fifth-highest earner at Bayer Leverkusen, according to reports, per Allnigeriasoccer.com.
Boniface has been instrumental in Leverkusen’s success under Xabi Alonso since joining from Union Saint-Gilloise in the summer of 2023.
His impact has been undeniable, scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists in 34 matches during his debut season.
His contributions helped Leverkusen secure the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal titles while reaching the UEFA Europa League final.
In total, the Nigerian international has netted 31 goals and registered 11 assists in 52 matches for the German champions.
His impressive form has fueled speculation about his future, prompting contract renewal talks.
Sportsillustrated.de, Boniface currently earns around €5 million (approximately N8 billion per season) at Leverkusen, placing him behind Florian Wirtz (€7.5 million), Nordi Mukiele (€6.92 million), Patrick Schick, and Granit Xhaka (both at €6 million).
However, the 24-year-old could have secured a significantly higher salary had he accepted a move to Saudi Arabia.
In the winter, Al-Nassr reportedly offered him a three-year deal worth €15 million per year, but the transfer collapsed at the last moment, with the club opting for Jhon Durán from Aston Villa instead.
