Victor Olatunji Dreams of Super Eagles Call-Up, Ready to Make Nigerians Proud

Sparta Prague striker Victor Olatunji has expressed his desire to play for the Super Eagles, describing it as a dream come true if given the opportunity under new coach Eric Chelle.

“I know that I have got what it takes to showcase my talent in the Super Eagles jersey, although, I am not forcing myself on the team,” Olatunji said from the Czech Republic.

The 25-year-old forward has been in impressive form this season, scoring four goals and contributing two assists in 14 UEFA Champions League appearances, including qualifiers. He has also netted six goals in 19 Czech Chance Liga matches for third-placed Sparta Prague.

Olatunji believes his experience in high-profile Champions League matches against teams like Inter Milan, Manchester City, and Atletico Madrid has boosted his confidence and prepared him for international duty.

“It is obvious that the Super Eagles are blessed with lots of talented forwards, but I think my addition will further fire the team to glory,” he added.

The striker, who played a key role in Sparta Prague’s league and cup title triumphs, is hopeful of earning a call-up ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe next month.

“If opportuned to make the squad, I will make Nigerians proud,” Olatunji affirmed. “My Champions League exposure will go a long way in giving fans what they love to see.”
