Former Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro, has declined an offer to manage Turkish Super Lig club Kayserispor.
According to Portuguese news outlet A Bola, Peseiro made his decision after discussions with the club’s officials.
The 64-year-old’s decision is likely influenced by the club’s current challenges, including a financial crisis and poor form, having failed to win any of their last five matches (four defeats and one draw).
Kayserispor currently sit in 17th place on the league table with 16 points and face further setbacks due to a transfer ban spanning the next three windows.
Peseiro has been without a managerial role since parting ways with the Super Eagles in February 2024.
