Super Eagles Stars Shake Off Libyan Disappointment with Goals, Assists, Big Wins Across Europe

By Kola Daniel

After a challenging week marred by turbulence during the Super Eagles’ clash with Libya, Nigerian players across Europe bounced back in style, delivering standout performances to erase the bitter memories.

Victor Boniface scored the crucial winner for Bayer Leverkusen in a tight 2-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt, with Nathan Tella also featuring from the bench in the match. The goal helped Leverkusen keep up their fight with the top placed teams.

Samuel Chukwueze netted his first league goal of the season as 10-man AC Milan secured a narrow home victory against Maduka Okoye and Kingsley Ehizibue’s Udinese.

Victor Osimhen made a triumphant return to form, coming off the bench to score a sensational overhead kick, sealing Galatasaray’s 3-0away victory against Antalyaspor.

Meanwhile, Joe Aribo opened his Premier League account for the season, as Southampton squandered a two-goal lead against Wilfred Ndidi’s Leicester City. Paul Onuachu also featured for 22 minutes in that dramatic clash.

Nigerian stars across Europe did not waste time to swiftly banishe the frustrations of the Libyan experience, showcasing their resilience and undeniable quality on the pitch.
